Getting Back to Basics of Mafia Wars – part 1

Logging on for the very first time on Mafia Wars can be exciting. For some, it still leaves them clueless on what do they do next. As with any other game, the way you play the game and outcome depends entirely up to the decisions you make along the way. Therefore, starting out and making the right decision from the very start will decide whether or not you are indeed a Mafia in the making. It will be interesting to find out if you have what it takes to rule the world – or at least the Mafia world.

Among the first few things to do in establishing a mob family is growing one. After which, you will need to level up your character in the most speedy manner. Energy level needs to also be maximized to win fights in the game. Most importantly, what is a mob without money – generate them either by earning the money or through passive income. As you move up further, completing collections of special bonuses, earning titles and keeping up with the Corleone’s will grow in importance.

Mafia family and its perks
Grow your family. Aim for 500 members. Network aggressively. With a mob this size, you have proven to be a social networking King (or Queen). Logically, you will qualify for many perks in the game not available if you do not show the numbers. Some examples include ability to purchase very strong special items, unlocking Boss fights, flushing Top Mafia for bonuses, increased cash payouts and meeting yet more new people who share common interest. The golden figure of 500 allows you to get most from your jobs and defending your properties.

Level Up
Items, loot and collections should be motivation enough to level up. It will also set you apart as being efficient and feared. At every level up, your energy, stamina and health are reset to their maximum levels and 5 skill points is given. Do not strive to keep your energy and stamina when you level. You refill completely. Keep none when you top off the XP bar. Extras are not wasted, however. It can still be used towards the next level. Speed leveling is encouraged when your mafia is in great battling position. Use the chance to start war with other families.

Job Mastery
Skill points are awarded at every level of Job Mastery. You must master all the jobs within that category before other jobs become available for you. A title is given based on the mastered job tier in the specific category. This is a sure way to be noticed by other mafia families to show how advanced you are in that particular job. The first tier jobs consist of Street Thug, Skilled Street Thug, and Master Street Thug and Master Boss.

Fights
At early stages of the game, equip every member of your family with weapons, armor and vehicle to engage in fights and win. Strike a balance between attack and defense by making sure that weapons, armor and vehicle are at the highest attack. This is important in fights. As bad as it sounds, pick on smaller families. It will give you definite advantage to level up.
